United Way Announces Merger of Greater Portland and York County Organizations
United Way of Southern Maine’s mission has been to improve people’s lives by mobilizing the caring power of our community. We are uniting individuals and organizations around our community’s shared vision, Thrive2027, three 10-year goals to improve education, financial stability, and health for every person in Southern Maine.
Give our kids a strong start.
Empower our neighbors to thrive – not just survive.
Help us all live longer, better.
From her family to her community, Cassandra prioritizes helping others.
“No matter what I do in life, I’m always going to help people…that’s what I love,” said Cassandra.
In her personal life, Cassandra cares for her three-year-old son Tyson and is always free to lend a hand to friends and family. But her selflessness doesn’t stop there. As a student and professional Cassandra gives back to her community. It all started when Cassandra was a practicum student, working toward her associate degree.
