As we step into 2026, we’re celebrating the incredible change you helped create—and inviting you to keep the momentum going. Because of you, United Way of Southern Maine advanced health, youth opportunity, and financial security for all in 2025.

As 2025 winds down, I’ve been reflecting on the remarkable impact Emerging Leaders United has made over the past 12 months. Together, this giving circle has: Hosted wonderful events including

Dear Women United members and friends, We recently announced investments in eight partner programs making a difference for single mothers and their families—more than we have ever invested in before.

I often get asked why I love living and working in Maine. One of the primary reasons? When neighbors are in need, Mainers rise together.

In a public-private collaboration led by the United Way, new facilities in South Portland and Freeport will add 200 spots to Southern Maine’s strained child care industry by early 2026.
