ASSIST WITH FILING AT NORTHEAST HEARING AND SPEECH
Northeast Hearing and Speech (NHS) is an organization dedicated to helping people hear, speak, and communicate by providing speech-language and audiological evaluations and treatment to people of all ages. The organization seeks a volunteer to assist with filing at their office on 75 West Commercial Street in Portland. The volunteer will help out a few hours each week between 8:30am-4pm (any day(s) of the week) or 1-2 times per month. S/he will need to be able to work independently, file alphabetically, and sign a confidentiality agreement. This role helps NHS keep client information secure and allows their clinicians to spend more time helping people with their hearing and speech-language needs. HELP MULTILINGUAL STUDENTS MAKE IT HAPPEN!
The Multilingual & Multicultural Center’s Make It Happen! program is looking for volunteer academic coaches to help their middle and high school multilingual students with course work and/or the college admissions process. SAVE THE DATE: CELEBRATE DR. SEUSS’S BIRTHDAY/READ ACROSS AMERICA DAY BY READING TO KIDS
Share your love of reading and Dr. Seuss by reading to a classroom for an hour on Thursday, March 2. Volunteers will read a book (either their own or one provided by the classroom teacher) and participate in a related activity.
