Women United is announcing a funding opportunity for programs working with single mothers and their children in the East Bayside neighborhood of Greater Portland. Women United seeks to invest in programs that: implement a two-generation strategy to reduce poverty and utilize a collaborative approach to working with community partners.
Join us at the third annual United We CAN food sculpture contest at United Way of Greater Portland’s Annual Campaign Kickoff on September 14, 2018. Teams will construct sculptures from 8 a.m. -11:45 a.m. (spectators are welcome to watch). The sculptures will be on display during the kickoff in Monument Square at 12:00 p.m. After the event, Wayside Food Programs will distribute the collected items to food pantries throughout Cumberland County
Brick & Beam is seeking proposals that support high need populations in the area of childhood education up through 8th grade. In addition to Brick & Beam’s broad support of early childhood education, they are interested in receiving proposals with an emphasis on STEM programming.
