STARTING STRONG READING PARTNERS

Portland’s Ocean Avenue and Lyseth Elementary Schools are proud to offer “Starting Strong Reading Partners.” This program engages volunteers to work with first grade students who could benefit from some extra reading support. Volunteers meet once or twice a week with their assigned first grader and practice literacy skills for 30 minutes. There are two sessions, October – January and February – May. FMI, please contact Sylvie Montello, montes@portlandschools.org.

Schedules can be as flexible as needed for the volunteer.
