Today we’re reading out to share an exciting update. After several engaging conversations in community, Brick & Beam’s volunteer- lead Steering & Investment Committee has decided to implement some changes. Brick & Beam is now Emerging Leaders United. The new mission is below.
Emerging Leaders United is a community of driven professionals from diverse backgrounds who are committed to helping the next generation realize their full potential by equipping them with skills and resources for their future. Members engage in leadership development and networking while volunteering and investing in programs which ensure that youth in Southern Maine have a better chance to succeed as adults.
This mission takes in everything that Brick & Beam has prioritized, such as a commitment to providing STEM and early literacy enrichment opportunities for children in our community, and expands upon this message by seeking to advance any program that inspires young people. Emerging Leaders United is proud to continue supporting mentoring and enrichment activities for youth in Southern Maine. ELU is excited to continue exploring opportunities that set children of Southern Maine up for a successful future.
Emerging Leaders United will give its supporters opportunities to connect with, collaborate, and learn from leaders in our community who are active in United Way’s many causes. We will be sharing opportunities to learn from others and share your own experiences with a network that shares your values of improving the quality of life for all in Southern Maine.
There will be many exciting opportunities to get involved with Emerging Leaders United in the coming year. We are hosting a casual meetup at Orange Bike Brewing on September 26th where you can learn more about what we are doing. Please register via this link if you are interested in attending.
