WOMEN UNITED MAKES HOLIDAYS BRIGHTER |
Women United recently hosted their annual drive for winter gear and holiday gifts benefiting single mothers and their children in partnership with the giving circle’s community partners.
Tracey Williams, ‘MomCore’ Family Coach at York County Community Action Corporation, shared a story of a mother who had survived domestic abuse and is still learning to survive daily. Because of the abuse, she and her children have not been able to celebrate Christmas for a long time. This season, they did, and Women United helped contribute to her new beginning. |
Southern Maine’s housing crisis continues to create challenges for our entire community. United Way of Southern Maine is committed to helping our neighbors stay safe and housed. Next week, we’re announcing a way we can all make an impact. Keep your eyes on social media channels next week (Facebook, Instagram, Threads, LinkedIn) to find out how. |
United Way of Southern Maine is where the community comes together to help children, individuals, and families in ways that create a brighter future for all. |
